EVOLUTION OF Workforce development AT EDISON INTERNATIONAL
Our ongoing work to advance Workforce Development & Inclusion throughout Edison International and the communities we serve is guided by commitments to transparency, listening and accountability. We have implemented, refined and expanded several programs to support psychological safety, professional growth and community health for our 14,000 employees, the suppliers with whom we spend $2.26 billion annually, and 600+ community partners.
The following programs highlight our ongoing commitments to Workforce Development & Inclusion both internally and externally.
CREATING A CULTURE OF INCLUSION
- Offer voluntary education to all employees
TALENT ACCELERATOR
- Accelerate the talent movement by pairing high-potential talent with senior level leaders who help advocate for their growth and increase their visibility in the organization over the course of 18 months
TALENT PIPELINE
- Grow a talent pipeline with diverse skills, backgrounds, and viewpoints through recruitment efforts and by expanding access to training through Edison International’s philanthropic giving
MAINTAIN DATA TRANSPARENCY
- Align data disclosures to third-party standards and frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (U.N. SDGs)
INDUSTRY/EXTERNAL PARTNERSHIP & ALLYSHIP
- Contribute to community resilience and economic development through partnerships and philanthropic investments
EDISON INTERNATIONAL LINEWORKER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
- Continue annual four-year $1 million scholarship program that is open to all to expand the skilled craft workforce pipeline
- Support newly hired scholars, including through the SCE Lineworker Navigator Program, which pairs each new lineworker with an experienced lineworker to increase focus on safety and retention
